A trip to Marseille to stay at a friends apartment in the Unite d’Habitation, designed by Le Corbusier in 1946 was the inspiration for this quilt. Having explored every inch of the building, the quilt is based on the view through the fenistration of the internal ‘street’ looking back over Marseille.
The reverse of the quilt is made up from three cotton kimonos belonging to Annabelle’s father which, once unpicked, re-formed a perfect square.
