This quilt is formed using a single favourite shirt belonging to Martin Boyce and a pair of cotton gym shorts. As an extension to the principle applied to Quilt 12, the shirt, once unpicked has been reconstructed to give the negative space between the elements an almost figurative form. It is as if a small detail of Quilt 12 has been enlarged to incorporate the entire shirt.

The reverse simply describes our delight at discovering that the two stripes on the sides of the unpicked shorts come together to form a perfect square.
