After a trip to Copenhagen, Quilts 41 and 42 are based on stairwells from buildings we visited. In this case it is the Bagsvaerd Church, designed by Jorn Utzon in the 1970s.

The front of the quilt describes the space that is formed by the stair, while the back outlines a detail from the altar of the church.
